+Didn't you have information on your website about wedding photography?
Yes. We were hoping to be able to start offering wedding photography this year and had posted some information on photography pricing and package options. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer the service at this time and hope to be able to early 2009. If you're looking for a photographer, we can recommend several photographers that we have worked with before.

+Did you recently change prices?

Yes. We recently changed our video package and pricing options and are now only offering a single video package for $795. We are no longer offering our 2-videographer package. If you booked that package with us before June 18th, you'll still have 2 videographers at your wedding.

+Do you charge extra for travel expenses?

We don't charge for traveling to locations within 45 miles of Columbia, SC. There may be additional charges, depending on where the location is, to cover gas and lodging for traveling to locations beyond 45 miles. Also, if we are required to pay for parking, or other similar fees, we may charge an additional amount to cover those expenses.

+Would we have to sign a contract?
Yes. We do require that an agreement be signed and that a deposit be made in order to secure the date. The deposit is usually between 25% to 30% of the total cost. We can provide a copy of our standard agreement and answer any questions you might have before you decide..

+Do you do interviews?
Yes. It seems common for videographers to sell this as an add-on to their video packages. We make an effort to get friends and family to go on camera and share words of encouragement and advice. We usually do this during the reception and do not charge extra.

+Do you use lights?

We won't use lights during your ceremony because they can be too distracting, but if there is not enough lighting at your reception location, we may use a camera-mounted light. It also depends on whether or not you and your guests are comfortable with it and if the venue allows it.

+What other services do you provide?
We offer editing on Premiere Pro, DVD authoring with DVD Architect and Adobe Encore, and audio editing with ProTools and Adobe Audition. We are also experienced with using Final Cut and DVD Studio Pro.

Magic can also take VHS and miniDV tapes and transfer the footage to DVD. We can transfer just the raw footage, or author a complete DVD with full menus, scene selections and extras. Contact us so we can discuss your project and determine rates.
